Actor Mark Hamill just put down an evil Tea Party Republican Senator on Twitter like a Jedi master using mind tricks to defeat the Sith.
The Star Wars actor called Trump’s awful FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai “profoundly unworthy 2 wield a lightsaber” after the Republican regulator trolled the American people by killing President Obama’s Net Neutrality rules, then paraded around YouTube in a foolish video.
Net Neutrality is meant to preserve equal access to the Internet and, therefore, free speech. Today, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) decided to mock Luke Skywalker on Twitter by calling free speech “the dark side” when he said:
That’s when the Jedi returned serve by mocking Cruz’s terrible spelling, his backward politics, and the very public Twitter porn habits of the evangelical Texan Republican Party of Family Values politician, all in one tweet.
Ted Cruz is a self-important narcissist and his comments only serve to highlight that he’s on the wrong side of the Net Neutrality debate by trying to confuse regular people with lies to convince them to support this dreadful, anti-consumer proposal.
Mark Hamill, however, understands the damage to the free internet as we know it today and why the Trump FCC’s repeal of Net Neutrality rules is just a sop to big corporations and will ultimately be used to let them raise the rent on the internet to pick winners and losers amongst favored websites, apps, and services.
All Republicans should read Mark Hamill’s advice about what it means to be a Jedi and take it to heart because the alternative is being part of the dark side:
“A Jedi acts selflessly for the common man-NOT lie 2 enrich giant corporations.”
